Rebuilding and Grinding

TALLERES AMERICA has more than 25 years making that your used rolls recover the original mechanical properties and dimensions. And we offer this experience to our customers:

-Rebuilding worn or damaged rolls:

When low dimensions of your rolls no longer guarantees quality of your final product, we take away old flutes and apply an 8mm layer of special steel alloy developed by our research department which counts with excellent mechanical properties, hardness and wear resistance.

-Whenever you need to change flute type . A set of ¨C¨ flute corrugating rolls, for example, can be changed to other flute type, cut within appropriate dimensions and at low cost so you can fulfill your client requirements.

-When corrugating roll dimensional tolerances allows it, TALLERES AMERICA will suggest that your rolls can be ground scarifying its dimensions the minimum possible. This alternative represents substantial savings for our customers.

Our creep-feed grinders were specially designed to cut precision flute profiles. These machinery make a significant cut in grinding time which enables us to have the best delivering timing for our customers.

Our quality department strictly tests all the rolls ground by TALLERES AMERICA. They check for linearity, eccentricity, flute cut quality and crowning to assure optimum performance of the corrugating set.

Before we deliver the rolls to our customers, we proceed to make a simulation of the working conditions to check for perfect performance. This operational test includes carbon prints as a graphic verification of precision flute cut.
